DIY Lacey Christmas Ornaments. These ornaments can be made with either clay or dough. Just get any type of lace (vintage style crochet leaves the best impressions) and roll it into the dough. Cut out the ornament and make a hole for hanging. Bake it then paint it or leave it plain.
Well, now that the turkey has digested and we’ve gotten Thanksgiving out of the way for another year let’s get into Christmas mode.
I absolutely love this decoration. It’s perfect if you don’t have room for a tree, but still want to display ornaments and it’s perfect even if you have a tree. Just get an old screen and hang the ornaments from it in the shape of a tree and hang on the wall, or prop against the wall. If you want to reuse it you can glue the ornaments on or make it into a shadowbox.
Tired of the same old wreaths on the doors? Go to your local craft store and get a wooden letter and glue either real or silk leaves onto it. Nobody else in your neighborhood will have one just like you!
The Costume is Right! How simple is this DIY costume? Wear whatever clothes you want, slap on the price tag name badge, and make a cardboard screen with a number on string. The hardest part? Keeping that “winners” pose all night.
Ever wish you were Barbie? Well now you can be the makeup Barbie head thingy…ma bob. Wear something strapless and cut a piece of cardboard to fit over your shoulders. Cover it with pink fabric and attach makeup to it. Throw on the blonde wig and you’re good to go.
Want to be picture perfect for Halloween? Why not go as a famous piece of art? To make the frame cut a piece of thick foam to size and cover with fabric. Attach a backing and leave the bottom open so you can get into to frame.
How cool, and simple, are these black and white era costumes? Just wear all black, white, and grey tones! Make sure your hair is sprayed with the wash out black and wear white/grey/black tights and make up. These remind me of that movie Pleasantville from 1998.
Halloween time is upon us. Time to think about DIY costumes. What about this abduction costume? The child’s head and arms are in the pjs, his feet are the alien’s feet.
If you have a big family like I do then you know how hard it is to remember every birthday and anniversary. This cute sign will make remembering those dates simple! Use circles for birthdays and hearts for anniversaries and never forget a date again.
Make cute bows out of the back pockets of your daughters jeans. (It’s not like they actually use the pockets anyhow…)
